There are five categories of membership in
the College; they are:
Student
Member
Undergraduate students of
psychology or postgraduate clinical Master's psychology
students.
Intern Member
Members, deemed
academically qualified, registered as Training or
Intern psychologists with the appropriate State or
Territory Registration Board, undergoing supervision and
undertaking a minimum of six hours clinical
practice weekly.
Associate Member
Members who have graduated from
Intern Member status or have joined the College with Full
Registration as a psychologist. The category of Associate
Member is for a two year period at the end of which the
member is considered for Full Member status.
Full Member
Members with Full Registration as
psychologists with the appropriate State or Territory,
deemed academically qualified and having completed two
years acceptable supervised clinical experience or
practice and two years of Associate Membership. Applicants
with long standing in the profession may apply to their
Branch for reduction of Associate membership to one year.
Senior Clinician
A full member of the College who
has met all membership requirements for a period of at
least 5 years and who has completed the log book of
competencies
Fellow
Full members and registered as
psychologists, of at least five years standing,
nominated and seconded by the members for their
outstanding contribution to the College and approved by
Branch Committee and the National Executive. A fellow
receives the award of "Fellow (Clin. Psych) ACCP".
Fees
Membership fees for
2009 - 2010 are $298 for a Full, Intern or
Associate member and $99 for a Student Member. Contact your
